We are overall happy with this refrigerator/freezer. It was labeled as counter-depth. It isnt counter-depth with my counters/cupboards however we are happy with the available space in the product. It just sticks out about 7 inches from our counters/cupboards.

We bought refrigerator less than a year and the evaporator fan went out. I think the water dispenser inside the refrigerator is a bad idea because we are constantly getting water and having to open the door is a bad idea. The refrigerator is losing cold air every time you open the door. I think it should be on the outside of the door.

Weve had this fridge for about 9 months and we like the capacity in the fridge portion. It can hold a lot of food. This is our first time having a chest freezer and we dont care for that as much as its harder to find things in it but thats not a product failure just a preference. The really annoying thing is a couple of months ago our ice maker stopped making ice. It was annoying on a brand new fridge but we were just going to live with it until it started making a very loud rattling noise a few weeks ago. Its so loud I have to leave the kitchen until it stops. We made a claim through LG and it took a couple of weeks for a technician to come to our house. As soon as the tech arrived he was able to hear the noise and he said he knew exactly what was wrong that it was a very common issue with modern ice makers but didnt have the part to fix it. That was last week and I dont know when this will be resolved. When we were shopping for a fridge we were warned not to buy LG but we didnt listen. It lasted hardly more than half a year before part of it quit working. I would not purchase another LG appliance in the future.

I bought this refrigerator 6 months ago and really love the look counter space depth that is very roomy the water dispenser in the refrigerator which leaves a very sleek look on the doors. The only complaint is when I went to change the air filter the replacement filter did not fit. I called LG and was told that the part of the refrigerator that holds the filter was incorrect. I had to order a new part and have still not received it. It has been 3 weeks. I asked if I would receive a filter for my trouble and was told no.

Great Fridge minor improvement needed

I love the fridge my vegetables lasts fresh for longer in this fridge It has great capacity and it is quiet and energy saving. Just evaluating the fridge itself it is wonderful indeed. I just was 2 little thing to point out: 1 the nob at the bottom to balance the fridge is oddly just at the front end I have a floor that happened to till slight from the left to the right of the fridge and there seems to be no way to lift the back end of the fridge unless I cut a small piece of hard object to shim it myself. 2 the WIFI connection to use the app: after a few months I kept getting my fridge cannot be found but it was still totally reading my energy usage my door closing and opening etc I just dont get alert anymore when I forgot to close the door. The only way to get it all correct again was to delete the device and add it back but when I did that it lost all my previous history.........I lost half a year worth of energy usage trend.......

Overall we are happy with our refrigerator. It seems to be running very well and gives us the addition storage we desired. One think that is puzzling is the classification counter depth. It sticks out about 7 inches from our counters. Either our counters and cupboards are smaller than most peoples or the label counter-depth is a misnomer.

Arrived damaged. Noticed the damage to the freezer drawer on day 3. There was a dimple on the freezer drawer surface. Replacement came on Nov 22. The problem was they delivered a stove not a refrigerator. Now HD says we werent entitled to a replacement because the claim was on day 3. There is a 2 day window for cosmetic claims. No one told me when I bought it. The fault lies within the delivery team. They manhandle all the appliances. Does anyone ever audit the delivery team like a consumer mystery shopper? I had other damage to other appliances as well. The installers also installed my dishwasher crooked and damaged my cabinet in the process. I would NEVER shop appliances at HD again. One delivery guy said that they have 20 stops and cannot take the time to correct mistakes.

Excellent Refigerator

My wife and I moved to new home last year and it had an older side-by-side refrigerator that we didnt acre for and wanted to replace it. We did some comparison shopping and narrowed it down to Bosch Samsung and LG. We finally settled on the LG because it offered everything we wanted at a great price. This fridge has been really great. The capacity is superb even though its technically a county depth. The doors are thick though so keep that in mind. They need to stick out beyond the door opening if you have it like ours next to a walkthrough galley kitchen doorway. The water filter and air filter do seem to wear down pretty quick. Weve had it less than six months and were already about to need to replace both. Otherwise we love the rest of the features including the water dispenser inside.

Way too noisy

My biggest complaint is that the ice maker makes a screaming noise when it is filling the tray with water. Its loud enough that I can hear it several rooms away and even over the TVs sound. You hear the thump of the ice dropping which isnt very loud and is expected then you get 10 seconds or so of screaming. Other problems - The shelves are not adjustable enough and dont slide back to make room for taller items. our 15-year old LG had much better shelves. The lighting isnt great. Only source is at the top of the fridge. If you happen to put I dont know food on the top shelf the rest of the fridge gets dark. The freezer is worse because the light is actually on the bottom of the fridge door. If you open the fridge door while the freezer is open you lose your freezer light. The doors open too far and swing backwards and will hit your counter-top if you try to do a flush install where the body of the fridge not the door aligns with the counter-top. So you end up with the fridge sticking out an inch. Total it sticks out 5 1/4 inches - which doesnt really seem like counter depth So Costco swapped it out for another one. Now in addition to the ice make screaming in the exactly the same way as the first one the doors are crooked and the thingy attached to the left door doesnt always retract when you open it. So when you close it that thing crashes into the other door. Now Im back to square one shopping for yet another fridge.

A no compromise counter depth fridge

Ive had this fridge for about 3 months now and its been excellent. It has a bright spacious interior big enough that you dont realize it is a count-depth. The door shelves are enormous with ample space for two gallons of milk in a single shelf. The freezer is likewise spacious and well laid out. The ice maker has worked reliably and makes consistent sized ice cubes. The smart features are subtle but useful such at a chime if you leave the door open and a push notification to your phone if you have it set up. I also appreciate the energy monitor feature of the app--the fridge appears to run very efficiently. On top of all that the fridge is also very quiet--I really only notice it running when the ice maker is actively working.

I like the huge amount of space within And the light that makes my frig look like a spaceship in terms of brightness One problem though which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars: The right-side door does not automatically close without a human pushing it shut I had PC Richards send a workman who told me it was designed as such and that only the left door shuts on its own due to some sort of mechanism at the top of the door.

I bought this about a month ago and I have to say I am a little disappointed. One of the doors is higher than the other theres a hundred YouTube reviews on how to fix it if its the left door. Unfortunately mine is the right door nor did I feel after spending $2500 I should have to fix a brand new product so I called LG they told me I needed to call Lowes where the item was purchased from. I called to have them came back out another day out of work and said that it is normal that one door is higher than the other. I just found that weird for a brand new product.

We love our new LG Refrigerator. We didnt realize just how spacious this refrigerator is until we actually got it installed and put everything in it from our old side by side by side. We only used less than half of the space in our new LG refrigerator and it doesnt stick out from the wall any further than our old one. This LG refrigerator is really quite also both the refrigerator and the ice maker. I love the Smart features that is available on the LG App. also. Service department is garbage

Dang fridge showed up not working. Called the customer service every day for three weeks. Compressor was howling and it wasnt cooling. Took the first week of them asking if its plugged in and set correctly. Second week they kept saying they would call me the next day or so and I never received any communication. Said they put out a request for a tech to come look at it even if there was a tech nearby they would not show up with any parts and would have to come back another time to repair. I ordered a working fridge so I didnt want a repaired one. They said this was the process so I played along. No tech in the region. Guess they cant use the guy down the road. Week three they said I would receive an email where I could chose a replacement or refund. No email ever came through. Got a text with a form for a refund. Called and they said there was no dealer near me for replacement and they had no clue how I got it in the first place..they drove 10 miles to deliver the thing so now I have to wait 3 weeks for a refund. Said sorry about this fridge running up my power bill for 3 weeks. Now I have to dispose of the fridge myself. Unimpressed beyond belief with customer service telling me one thing one day and then another the next. Our phone number has been flagged by their service department because we called to much. Construction delayed lost time at least an hour every phone call every day and now this process is costing me money. Unimpressed. Just wanted a working fridge dropped off. Called local dealer and told them they shouldnt sell any LG products after this. I will post this review everywhere you sell.

So far so good

Received in early September so its still very new. Not crazy about the freezer drawer but Im used to a side by side. I think thats more of a preference thing. Otherwise so far so good. LG had to replace the air filter housing but it was very simple and they proactively reached out to me about it. Definitely good cust service there Hope it continues performing for many years to come like my previous Kenmore.

Great counter depth fridge that maximizes space

Bought after our old ge fridge died. The lg has the same footprint but has significantly more space and a great layout. The door shelves are spacious and hold condiments drink cans wine bottles etc so the main area is freed up for food. Great ice making capacity as well.

Very Disappointing.

Arrived with a defect in the door hinge which made one door sit lower than the other. Couldnt be repaired. The doors feel cheap and are very lightweight so all the items in the door shelves rattle loudly every time you close the doors. The lunch meats drawer cant be accessed unless you open both doors at the same time because it runs the entire width of the refrigerator. The inner shelving cant be moved but one notch and even that is impossible because we cant get the shelves to come out of the slots. The installation crew came back to try to fix both the door hinge and shelving slots but were unsuccessful. Ended up getting a partial refund from the store for defective parts. Wont be buying LG in the future.

The first refrigerator wouldnt cool properly . Service technician came out and agreed . Said it would take about a week to get the parts so ordered a replacement through Costco. Next refrigerator arrived and the temperature and cooling was fine however the ice maker started making loud noises as compared to the returned model. Also the door handle on the bottom left was hitting the plastic trim and making a clicking noise . Someone from the shipping company came out and adjusted the handle but said he couldnt fix the noise from the ice maker. If you make a claim with LG and they tell you this is normal you will be charged for the service call. Very poor customer relations

There isnt anything about this new fridge that I dont love. From the capacity for storage in the doors to the huge vegetable and meat drawers it is so spacious and well designed. I absolutely love the bottom freezer. Its so easy to organize and find stuff. I love having the water dispenser inside the fridge and not on the door. Its much less messy.
