Simple yet all you need

This unit replaces another brand that failed. I like the simplicity of setting the temperature, and having a greed LED light that shines on the ground in front of it to make sure it is working. Also LOVE the 48 hour hold time guarantee in case of a prolonged power failure.

My new freezer has almost everything I looked for, including a warning device if it malfunctioned and an interior light so I could find what I was looking for. I was surprised, however, that I can™€™t fit in more than I had in my old smaller freezer. The shelves are not as deep so they seem to hold less. Otherwise, I™€™m very pleased with it.

Lost over $800 worth of meats the first time it went out, they fixed it. Then I lost over $1000 worth this time™€¦and it is out of warranty. Do not buy Frigidaire Freezers! Spend a couple extra bucks, and save money in the long run. PS they do not cover lost food!!! All of this in 3 years. Do the math i could have bought a $2,800 freezer and been even in cost and eliminated the waste of a couple of hundred pounds of meat in the land fill.

Best freezer for a power outage

I had purchased this freezer back in October to help with the limited freezer space I have in my fridge and because I have two almost teenage boys. We had a power outage that lasted almost 3 days and while the freezer wasn™€™t completely full all the meat was still frozen solid and only the freezer pops we keep in the door we™€™re starting to thaw. After three days. Which was a lifesaver.

Replaced a similar Frigidaire model (20 years old) that served us well. It is beautiful and came up to temperature quickly (measured -5F at the recommended setting and cycling through defrost). I was concerned enough about other reviews of failure and frost build-up to buy a service contract (which I NEVER do) though. Time will tell, but holding my breath a little...Price and timing was good for the basic features which met my needs, reversible door being key. Home Depot's online order system allowed me to put a note asking them to change it, but it was not on the delivery report, so it we had to do it. I do miss the extra shelf in the cabinet and on the door from the old one and may have to buy one, for what it's worth.

Purchased freezer worked well for 10 months started getting an alarm Frigidaire send out a service company 3 days they make it out. They get parts ordered still with in the 12 months manufacture warranty, 3-4 months later same thing quit cooling. Called again they tell me unit isn™€™t under warranty and we can™€™t do anything repair job didn™€™t last and Frigidaire doesn™€™t give a crap that I spent 1200$ and got a Pyle of junk

I love the huge wire basket for the big items, a lot of shelves that can be positioned for any size and the side door is great for all the smaller items and the shelves are all down the door. This is a nice spacious freezer. It runs all the time, it is suppose to and since it is in the garage the noise does not bother us. Would definitely recommend. I do have to be honest we have only had it for several months, lets see how long it lasts!!

This freezer is helpful in keeping things organized. I like that I can place and stack things in certain areas and not have to go digging and moving things out of the way to get to the bottom like some other deep freezers. This set up works well with with what I am doing as I have many things I want frozen.

Although, only a few weeks old, it is packed with food and is working well! Love the door storage for all of the smaller packages plus shelves hold so much. Interior light is a huge bonus as this is in the garage which has no windows. Still more room if needed. Got it on sale plus our state (FL) no tax so, I used savings to buy 5 yr. extended service plan. Lets hope I never need to use it!

We bought freezer and it was delivered and installed. Everything seemed good. We let it get to temp and started putting goods back in. I noticed the light quit working. I called to get fixed. Couple hrs later light started working again. Later that night, door alarm started going off. Opened and closed door, it stopped. This happened again about day later. It hasn't happened since, but leary it may. Seems to keep everything cold and quiet.

Have had the freezer for about a month now and we are loving it. We have wanted to get a bigger freezer for a few years and kept delaying, wish we would have gotten it sooner! Does a great job keeping everything frozen and I love the green light that displays to knows it™€™s on and working when I walk by it. Being able to switch which side the door opens was a bonus too. I just wish it came with 1-2 more shelves, I™€™ve looked at buying extras but they™€™re a bit expensive just for extra wire shelves.

Shortly after purchasing this freezer, the freezer failed and took a freezer full of open range beef and free-range chicken with it. Thousands of dollars of meat gone. Service tech came and said we need a new control board. 10 days to get a new control board. Nothing but spoiled bloody meat now. Even when the board functioned properly, you cannot hear the low temp alarm. I told Frigidaire I want my money back. I will never pay to fill this freezer again with meat. I do not trust this freezer at all. They won't stand behind their product and I understand why, it is complete garbage. What happened to manufacturers that stood behind their products. The Frigidaire resolution team was of no help at all. I will never buy another Frigidaire product.

Replaced a 25 year old chest freezer that was still running. Upright freezer sure is convenient to find what you™€™re looking for when loaded. Was looking for a manual defrost since I had such good luck with the old chest freezer but options are very limited with upright freezers. About a month old on this Frigidaire, so far no issues. Good looking unit and the green power light is nice to have to know everything is okay without opening it to check the temperature.
